Esther Lo is a New York based artist whose work is a reflection on life and celebration of the human spirit. With a background in art direction and design, Esther also garnered recognition as photographer, painter and sculptor. The ability to breathe life and capture the spirit of her subjects have earned her numerous awards. In recent years, she is focusing more on clay modeling, enjoying its tactile quality, to be touched and felt from all angles. She blends classical with contemporary elements, fusing form with emotions to evoke, intrigue and challenge the mind. Her portraits are approached with intimacy and honesty that invites compassion. Each subtle nuance pulsates like heartbeat, emitting a sensibility that brings soul to her art
Esther is a Signature member of American Artists Professional League, and an Elected member of Allied Artist of America and Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club. Her works have been included in major national juried exhibits and are collected in the U.S. and abroad.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My mission as an artist is to take viewers into a new realm of imaginative or introspective experience. I explore themes such as love, joy, youth, anguish and desire through the poetry of visual narrative. Every piece is an invitation to ponder on the essence of life and the human spirit.
